Busy Busy. Song are being finished. I've had a bit of a long haul with writing my blog diary. I've had to pull out my diaries from 20 years ago to jog my memory. I'm really enjoying the memories. It really give perspective on the present. As usual I have bitten off a lot to chew so progess is still a bit slow. Winter is starting to nip at the heels and the open fire has been a treat. Thanks for the feedback on the diary.

The Gig at the PAVE festival of performing arts went really well. It had been sold out for a number of weeks, no double due to the strong lineup of singer songwriters. We all took turns to sing a song each and there were many stories and laughs. There is a picture of the four performers on the Gigs Pix page. In other news I've just put aside a block of time to get the current handful of songs finished. So near and yet so far.

March 09

I've been performing at a few gigs lately. The highlight has been the benefit for the bushfire relief at the Mt Dandenong Hotel. A couple of other track are just about done. Early March saw us evacuate due to bushfire danger which has thrown a widget into the recording schedule. I'm loving the studio. Just need to hide in there for a while.

One track finished..a cover of 'Hallelujah' by Leonard Cohen. When I started recording it, I didn't realize he was coming out here, so it's not a shameless attempt to cash in on his tour. I just love the song. From a songwriting point of view the structure is beautful and the lyrics are sublime. I've got a new version of a song I've had for a while nearly done and a couple of others well on the way. Love the new gear. Sorry the site is not fully up and running yet. I'm on a roll but there's only so many hours in the day...

After a few delays, Riley Jordan is back in the studio working on the new album. The studio has had an upgrade and Riley is putting down a couple of new tracks as well as doing a remix on some tunes that were recorded during the last batch of recording. There is no release date, as 'the vibe has no mistress'. Riley is planning a big push in her musical output in 2009 so please come and visit again!
